construction of the True North AshoreThe original concept was sketched up by Max Hewitt who is well known in Landscaping circles within WA and Leon Mitchell-Lewis an award winning Building Designer from Planforum Design Studio Pty. Ltd was responsible for the Design Development and Architectural Documentation. The builder was Tim Gordon from TAG Builders. The entrance boasts a very spectacular Kimberley waterfall and an inside Kentia Palm. The roof line of the entrance has a boat theme in keeping with the True North inspiration. Feature panel work and timber work, the ensuite cabinets and the Kitchen throughout True North Ashore were crafted by Carpentech whilst the co-ordination of the interior outfit was done by Ecological Builders www.ecologicalbuilding.com.au. The feature Dining table, chairs, coffee tables and the bed units were crafted by Jahroc furniture. Gary Bennett from Jahroc www.jahroc.com.au made a special trip on the True North to get a feel for the Kimberley to give him the inspiration for the design of these units. All of the feature linings and furniture within True North Ashore are made from Marri and the floors are solid Backbutt. External ceilings and the lower deck ceiling are all done in Cedar. The landscaping concept was developed by Max Hewitt and was physically done by South Sea Landscapes www.southsealandscapes.com.au.
